WHAT IS ROC FOR THE HOMELESS?

Roc For The Homeless is an outdoor music festival at St. John Fisher College featuring student and faculty performers.  As part of the campus wide end-of-the-year celebration, Fisher Fever, Roc For The Homeless will showcase the Fisher community and begin a tradition of annual outdoor music festivals to celebrate the end of each successful school year - all while fundraising for a worthy cause.

St. John Fisher College will host a spring music festival, “Roc For The Homeless” (RFTH), on Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m., with all proceeds benefiting Rochester Regional Health’s “Healthcare for the Homeless Program” (HCHP)

The concert -- an outdoor music festival held on the St. John Fisher campus -- will take place during the college’s year-end celebration, “Fisher Fever,” and will feature student and faculty performers from the St. John Fisher community.

RFTH will fundraise for “Healthcare for the Homeless” via merchandise sales, monetary donations, and raffles during the event, which will feature food trucks, a photo booth, raffles, a VIP section, giveaways, and more. A donation drive is also underway on the St. John Fisher campus to collect winter clothing items like socks, hats, scarves, gloves, shirts, and sweaters to be donated to the “Healthcare for the Homeless” program.

HCHP provides quality comprehensive primary medical care to the homeless persons in the city of Rochester and the greater Rochester area. Seeking to improve access to comprehensive medical care for homeless individuals, while simultaneously affording each individual access to services needed to obtain gainful employment, permanent housing and other resources that may be beneficial to their individual situation, without regard to the individual’s ability to pay (Click here for more information on the Rochester Regional Health Website).

RFTH is sponsored by the following St. John Fisher College campus organizations: The Student Government Association, The PRIMA Group, The Ukulele Club, and The Old Kids Club.
